FRP / GRP Fiberglass Cable Tray Supplier

FRP (GRP / fiberglass) cable tray is non-conductive, non-corrosive and roughly a third the weight of steel. It is specified for chemical plants, offshore platforms, water treatment and coastal installations where metallic trays would need constant maintenance.

MOQ from 1 carton Samples available EXW / FOB / CIF / CFR OEM & ODM sizes

FRP tray is manufactured by pultrusion using continuous fibreglass rovings with vinyl ester or isophthalic polyester resin. The result has high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent dielectric properties and outstanding resistance to salt mist, acids and alkalis.

YITORCH supplies FRP ladder tray and its complete fitting range — elbows, tees, crosses, 135° risers, width reducers, dividers and cover clamps — so entire corrosive-area runs can be supplied in composite rather than mixing materials.

Why buyers choose us

Sourcing advantages for importers, EPC firms and distributors

No corrosion allowance needed

FRP does not rust, pit or need repainting, which typically removes the maintenance cycle required by coated steel tray in chemical areas.

Electrically non-conductive

The composite structure has no electrical continuity path, reducing touch voltage risk and making it suitable where induction heating is a concern.

Light and fast to install

At roughly one third of steel weight, FRP is handled without cranes and cut on site with standard tools.

Fire-retardant grades

ASTM E84 Class 1 flame spread ratings and self-extinguishing ASTM D635 grades are supplied where project specifications require them.

Typical applications

  • Chemical and petrochemical plants — acid and solvent atmospheres
  • Offshore platforms and coastal terminals — continuous salt spray exposure
  • Water and wastewater treatment — hydrogen sulphide corrosion
  • Pulp and paper mills — chlorine and bleaching sections
  • Substations and rail electrification — non-magnetic / non-conductive requirement
  • Mining and smelters — wash-down and chemical-resistant routing

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about frp / grp cable tray

Is FRP cable tray stronger than steel tray?

FRP has higher strength-to-weight ratio but lower absolute stiffness, which means support spans are shorter. As a rule of thumb the span is around 1.5–2.0 m for FRP versus 2.0–3.0 m for steel; we size this for your load.

Which resin should I choose?

Isophthalic polyester covers most industrial and marine applications. Vinyl ester is recommended where concentrated acids, solvents or high temperature are present — send us your chemical exposure list and we confirm.

Do you provide fire-retardant FRP tray?

Yes, fire-retardant grades meeting ASTM E84 Class 1 (flame spread index ≤ 25) and ASTM D635 self-extinguishing requirements are available.

Can FRP tray be supplied with covers and dividers?

Yes. FRP covers with GK / MK clamps and divider strips are stocked so power and control cables can be separated in the same route.

What is the delivery time for FRP products?

Standard profiles are dispatched in 10–15 days; resin-specific or non-standard sizes typically take 20–30 days due to curing schedules.
